Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay fighter. She competes currently in the UFC Flyweight division. She is the elder sister of fellow UFC fighter and ex- UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's career in combat sports began as a Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title and then defeated Suzane Mller with a majority vote. Antonina then won the Silver Medal in 2007 and a Bronze Medal in 2008, a Golden medal in 2011, as the IFMA 2016 Amateure Muay Tha World Champion. Antonia began her professional journey back in 2003. She has taken home numerous awards, such as the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships, Lion Fight Lightweight Championships, and WMC as well as Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won with a majority. Antonina Schevchenko began the professional phase of her MMA career in 2002 after the victory over Anara Baanova, during the KFK Championships of Kyrgystan. She was victorious in the second round TKO followed by two more bouts at the WXF X-Impact World Championships to earn a 3-0 record. Shevchenko was forced to take a break from MMA and devoted her time to kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 with Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa in a unanimously-decided match after which she beat Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. The league was dissolved in the year 2018, Shevchenko enrolled into Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina demonstrated her power of striking by tying Nievera with knees. Antonina Shevchenko received the UFC contract after the victory. Antonina was able to make her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took the win with a unanimous decision. She losing her following fight to Roxanne Modafferi via split decision. Antonina has recovered from her loss, defeating Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler via a rear-naked choke submission. This earned her the prize of fight-of-the-night. Shevchenko was victorious in her initial three fights before losing the fights to Katlyn Cahookagian Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Recently Antonina fell to Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos against. Walker via second-round TKO.
